Remaining Working Days Left in Current Month and Calendar Year (NETWORKDAYS & EOMONTH)

Calculate how many business days remain in the active month or calendar year—either including or excluding today—while deducting company holidays with NETWORKDAYS and EOMONTH.

Inclusive vs. strictly future working days remaining

NETWORKDAYS(start_date, end_date, [holidays]) counts both endpoints when they fall on Monday through Friday outside the holiday list. Passing a reference date in B2 and EOMONTH(B2, 0) counts today as a remaining workday if today is an open business day.

When sprint capacity or shipping cutoffs should exclude today and count only future workdays starting tomorrow, pass B2 + 1 as the start date and wrap the formula in MAX(0, ...) so the final day of the month returns 0 instead of -1 when B2 + 1 crosses into the first day of next month.

Working Days Left in Current Month (Inclusive of Reference Date)

Counts Monday–Friday business days from B2 through the last calendar day of B2's month, excluding any weekday holidays in D2:D4.

Future Working Days After Today & Year-End Runway

Use MAX(0, NETWORKDAYS(B2 + 1, EOMONTH(B2, 0), D2:D4)) to exclude today safely on month-end dates, or replace EOMONTH(B2, 0) with DATE(YEAR(B2), 12, 31) for full calendar-year runway.

=MAX(0, NETWORKDAYS(B2 + 1, EOMONTH(B2, 0), D2:D4))
