Neuro-oncology, palliative care, and radiation clinics often document functional status using David Karnofsky’s 0–100% Performance Status (KPS, scored in 10-point deciles), whereas medical oncology chemotherapy protocols and FDA/EMA Phase III trials screen patients using the 0–5 Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG / WHO / Zubrod) scale!
