Count sold vs. remaining seats or inventory and sell-through percentage
Count assigned and available slots in a fixed six-row roster and calculate its assigned fraction.
Turn a fixed-capacity roster into a live sold/remaining capacity dashboard
Training cohorts, gala tables, charter flights, and serialized lot sheets allocate one row per available slot (A2:A7) and record the buyer's name or order ID in Column B as each unit sells.
Each row represents one slot. This example treats a genuinely blank cell or a formula returning empty text as available, using COUNTBLANK. A nonempty buyer entry marks assignment; it does not establish payment, fulfilment or a unique customer. Spaces and zero are entries under this rule.
| Capacity KPI (6-Seat Workshop) | Formula | Live Result |
|---|---|---|
| Total Capacity | ROWS(A2:A7) | 6 Seats |
| Sold / Assigned | ROWS(A2:A7)-COUNTBLANK(B2:B7) | 4 Sold |
| Remaining Open | COUNTBLANK(B2:B7) | 2 Remaining |
| Sell-Through % | ROUND((ROWS(A2:A7)-COUNTBLANK(B2:B7))/ROWS(A2:A7),4) | 66.67% (0.6667) |
Calculate remaining unsold seats or units
The fixed range contains six slots. Extend the capacity and buyer ranges together when adding slots outside it; appending below row 7 is not automatically included.
=COUNTBLANK(B2:B7)Compute sell-through rate and automatic "Sold Out" badge
Sold Out is the display label for zero available slots under the stated assignment rule. It is not a payment-system status.
=IF(COUNTBLANK(B2:B7)=0,"Sold Out","Open")Assigned fraction
Format the decimal result as a percentage.
